This is a photo guide to the “100 Prominent Bryophytes of Western Oregon” sorted by habitat. Seventeen prominent bryophyte communities of the Pacific Northwest are featured. This photo guide is a component of my beginning bryophyte workshop training. This guide is a work in progress; many species are in need of better pictures. Tools, Tips and Techniques

I have been writing a column called “Tools, Tips, and Techniques” for the newsletter of the International Association of Bryologists. All relate to working in a bryology lab. I’ve compiled most of them into a single MS Word document, which I have placed in a public folder on my Dropbox page. It can be downloaded by clicking on the above link.
